Blackwater Valley Friends of the Earth members strongly oppose the recent application 25/00615/REV made by Farnborough Airfield to: increase the number of weekend flights; increase the weight category and change the public safety zone maps. Each of the three proposals, if granted, will give little or no benefit to the community of Rushmoor. In fact the increase in weekend noise and air pollution will cause damage to our community. The benefits are for the super rich who like the convenience of the airport and Macquarie investors. Neither of these groups of people have any interest in Rushmoor. BVFoE urge the local community to comment on the application. Comments on previous applications will not be considered.

I live next to the airport. I can taste + to breathe in the fumes + fuel pollution on a daily basis, so do the children playing in Tower Hill School playground! The leaves on the trees along Marrowbrook, Hazel Avenue, Southwood Park + Eelmoor SSSi frequently have an oily sheen on them from the current level of polution. I have to live with the noise + lights, regularly all night as well as the vibrations from the larger planes. With all this already happening, please do not allow the increases in ANY aircraft movements, flights, weight, size, capacity. We have a right to live here in our homes in peace without being subjected to more intrusive, health debilitating pollution. if its revenue the greedy airport management + greedy shareholders want then consider increasing the cost of using this airport. It is the birthplace of British Aviation + used to be the pioneer pinnacle of anything connected to Aviation or space exploration. Please stop killing us to line the pockets of the uncaring greedy wealthmongerers. Please do not allow the proposed changes to the Publuc Safety Zones.

If it is revenue the greedy airport management + greedy shareholders want, then consider increasing the cost of using this airport. it IS the birthplace of British Aviation + used to be the pioneer pinnacle of anything connected to the development of aviation + space exploration. Those who currently use Farnborough Airport are rich enough to afford doubling the costs, especially as it is a prestigious heritage airport.
