Why is this a big issue for Friends of the Earth? According to recent research, making our pensions sustainable is 27 times more efficient in reducing carbon footprints than making individual lifestyle changes.
Persistent lobbying of the HPF, in partnership with UNISON and the Dirty Money campaign, has led to HPF reducing its investment in fossil fuels by millions of pounds. HPF also now complies further with its Environmental, Social and Governance principles.
BVFoE is currently assisting in the re-energising of the Dirty Money campaign to continue the fight.
