Rushmoor is getting ready to go green in a big way for Great Big Green Week 2025, and you’re invited to join the celebration! Whether you’re passionate about the environment or just love spending time in the fresh air, there’s something for everyone. Bring along your family and friends to enjoy and explore the beautiful green spaces across Rushmoor – from the fascinating Aldershot Military Museum to the peaceful Napier Gardens, the wild wonder of Southwood Country Park, and the tranquil Wellesley Green Spaces.

Thanks to the hard work of the Rushmoor Green Community, a variety of fun, educational, and eco-conscious activities have been planned. It’s the perfect opportunity to connect with nature, learn more about protecting our planet, and make some green memories together.

The Why Not’s of Single-Use Plastic
Join Blooming Marvellous for an eye-opening session on the impact of single-use plastics. Discover sustainable alternatives and get hands-on with seed growing and creative eco-friendly ideas. A great one for families and curious minds alike!

📍 Napier Gardens
Marvellous Minibeasts & Pond Work Party
Help clean up the pond area with litter picking and tidying while discovering the incredible mini creatures that call Napier Gardens home. Organised by Friends of Napier Gardens, this event wraps up with a relaxed family picnic – don’t forget your blanket and sandwiches!

Meet BV Friends of the Earth
Pop by the BV Friends of the Earth stall for fun, informative chats about local environmental issues and how you can make a difference in your community.
