Blackwater Valley Friends of the Earth oppose the Planning Application by the Airport Owner to increase the number of flights from 50,000 to 70,000 a year and double the number of weekend flights from 8,900 to 18,900, and to allow heavier aircraft to use the airport.

If approved, then there will be a significant increase in nuisance from aircraft noise; in air pollution including Nitrogen Dioxide, particulates and even Lead; in Carbon Dioxide emissions; and in. risk from aircraft

We are opposing the expansion by making our concerns known to the Farnborough Aerodrome Consultative Committee, taking part in demonstrations; and working with organisations, such as, Farnborough Noise (https://www.farnboroughnoise.org/)
